PD4MaTHS is an organisation providing high quality professional development for teachers of mathematics.
The over-riding themes of PD4MaTHS workshops are:
- Teaching mathematics in a 'best-practice' framework
- Successfully engaging students in mathematics lessons
- Effectively incorporating technology within mathematics lessons
After meeting costs (catering, facilities and presenter fees) surplus funds are used to:
- Support mathematics teachers in disadvantaged schools by providing teaching resources and subsidising attendance at PD4MaTHS events.
- Take PD4MaTHS events to regional areas and interstate to provide those teachers access to high quality professional development
- Bring presenters to PD4MaTHS events from regional areas, interstate and overseas.
