Screen capture tutorials

Jing: Awesome, free screen capture software.

If you do not already use screen-capture which allows you to easily capture part of your screen, insert text, add an arrow and place a border around the image, then Jing is probably what you need. Once the program is opened it sits at the side of your screen ‘ready to go’. Check out the tutorial.

Jing is free for both PC and Mac. Download Jing for here.

Access the TechSmith Jing tutorials here.

Snagit: Creating short, email-able videos.

Snagit will also create screencasts. However, before you get too excited know that Snagit will not allow you to edit your recordings. Nevertheless, when you need to create one-minute answer to someone’s question (rather than spending ten minutes explaining it in an email), Snagit is perfect. The video at left explains how.

Access the Snagit page here.

What our clients are saying

I have never interacted with this amount of teachers in professional dialogue of such a high standard of inspiration, structuring and participation. The format is very flexible (I've almost caught up) and wonderfully varied in perspectives. I am enjoying it. Thank you.
