Testimonials - Differential Equations

I very much appreciated that while Gavin indicated which elements should be known by teachers, he did not assume. He still quickly went through some of the prerequisite skills to ensure we did know them. I liked how he modeled his learning process when answering our questions AND how he mentioned the evolution of his understanding on the content in several spots. This is good teaching.
Greta Gaut, Aurora College

I learnt many things about the topic and found it very useful. I also love the links and ‘how-tos’ and resources provided. It takes the stress out of learning about a new topic if you have somewhere to start. And what was provided was much more than somewhere to start, it was very comprehensive so a big thank you from me! I also like the honesty of the presenter about what he has found out as he has taught and learnt more about the topic and he was open enough to share that, and how he changed his thoughts on things and how to teach it.
Pauline Wong, Masada College

Gavin really knows his content. Really good examples were chosen and worked through. Explanations were great and varying - meaning high-level explanations for what the maths is doing, as well as how it would be best explained to a student.
Kate Nolan, Mater Dei Catholic College Wagga Wagga

Absolutely awesome way to engage in PD. Nice to be at home, nice to gain executive approval easily as your involvement does not affect the running of the school.
Megan Shipard, St Patrick’s College Sutherland

I like the format of live via zoom workshops. Having two presenters there to monitor the questions being asked while the other continues the presentation is great. I liked having the booklet to write in and website resources.
Zeljko Milanov, Brigidine College Randwick

Was a brilliant way to do professional development. I made this comment at work today. No travel, good coffee, everything I needed at my fingertips. Would love to see more courses presented like this.

Feedback

I have never interacted with this amount of teachers in professional dialogue of such a high standard of inspiration, structuring and participation. The format is very flexible and wonderfully varied in perspectives. I am enjoying it. Thank you.
