About the presenter

Networks

The purpose of this online professional learning workshop is to equip and empower teachers to teach Networks, as described in the Australian Curriculum. Note that participants will have ongoing access to the workshop materials. i.e. there is no end date.

The workshop will effectively enable participants to:
  • Learn about the concepts and terminology associated with the AC version of the topic of Networks.
  • Use the algorithms, theorems and ideas associated with Networks.
  • Explain all of the above to students.
  • Converse (online) with colleagues from all over Australia.
  • Share and receive ideas, resources and advice with a wider group of colleagues than would be possible in a one-day face-to-face event.
Workshop participants will have access to ready-to-use electronic resources for every section of the topic, including:
  • PowerPoint slideshows and other files which teachers can use in class and share with their students.
  • Examples with carefully worked solutions.
  • Voice-over videos for teachers in which Becky provides teaching advice and highlights some of the nuances of Networks.

Testimonials

The best aspects of the workshop are the explanatory videos which I could pause and think before continuing on.  Of course the PowerPoints and notes are a huge help as well. I cannot say that I am fully confident with teaching Networks yet, but this has given me a great platform to start building on.  It is also fantastic to know that there is help available if and when things become unclear. Rosemary Jacobitz, Northside Christian College, Brisbane, June 2018

Feedback

I have never interacted with this amount of teachers in professional dialogue of such a high standard of inspiration, structuring and participation. The format is very flexible and wonderfully varied in perspectives. I am enjoying it. Thank you.
