About the Presenter

Vectors: The What and the How

This workshop will effectively enable participants to:
  • Learn about the concepts and terminology associated with the NSW version of the topic of Vectors
  • Clarify the differences between the content of Extension 1 and Extension 2
  • Explore the operations, concepts and ideas associated with vectors
  • Solve problems and construct proofs using vectors
  • Explain all of the above to students
  • Converse (online) with colleagues all over NSW
  • Share and receive ideas, resources and advice with a much larger group of colleagues than a one-day face-to-face event
Workshop participants will have access to ready-to-use electronic resources for every section of the topic, including:
  • Teaching programs containing links to useful resources
  • PowerPoint slideshows and other files which teachers can use in class and share with their students
  • Examples with carefully worked solutions
  • Voice-over videos for teachers in which Becky provides teaching advice and highlights some of the nuances of Vectors
